Major Ernest James Hall Appleyard was my Great uncle (Brother to Eliza Victoria Burgess (Nee Appleyard), my grandmother, who was the only one of 9 to have children of her own).I have recently been doing considerable study of family genealogy and could help with information / background on Appleyards various, including Ernest and Annie (nee Fiddler)(who eloped in 1887 but didn't marry until 1919!) - no children.
